It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 8 Premieres Tonight at 10pm only on FX!
Well congratulations, Sunny is premiering a brand new season and you’ve stayed alive long enough to see it happen! Whether you make it through the season has yet to be determined, so for now all you can do is sit and enjoy and fear the unknown. Anyway, we’ve been getting a lot of tweets (@sunnymailbag) lately asking “what is the theme of Season 8?” You see, here at Paddy’s Blog HQ, we get to read all the scripts, watch as they film the show, and then screen the final episodes before they air. With all that said, we have no idea what the hell the theme is. “Jokes?” I dunno, who cares. This show works just fine without a theme. But in case you were wondering, the theme for Season 8 of Paddy’s Pub Blog is “putting as many words in the title as possible”.
Theme or no theme, Season 8 of Sunny is going to be absolutely amazing. With only 10 episodes this year, Rob, Charlie, and Glenn have crunched as much ridiculous comedy into each week as humanly possible. This season is bursting at the seams with everything that makes Sunny one of the funniest shows on television. Take tonight’s premiere for example:
We’ll see the return of “Pop-Pop”, who you should remember from the Season 1 episode “The Gang Finds a Dead Guy”. He’s in pretty bad shape now, and it’s up to Dennis and Dee to decide whether to pull the plug on their Nazi grandfather. Also in this episode, there’ll be a huge reveal concerning a painting that you’ve no doubt seen before. Yeah that’s right, I’m not telling you shit. Tune in for yourself!

That episode was a great start to the season, I couldnt stop laughing when charlie was talking with those braces on. What the hell is the deal with there only being 10 episodes this season?
By Dak on October 12th, 2012 at 7:15 amWhoa, I don’t remember him from season one! I’m glad I recorded this onto my Hopper so I can go back and watch it after I watch season one over again. I love that you guys cover everything I need to know about Always Sunny, but I feel like I waited so long for this season I forgot all about some of the other fine details from previous seasons. Also thanks for the links! I got a few of my co-workers from DISH hooked to AS last season, and I know that they’ll appreciate anything about this show that they can get their hands on.
