If you’ve landed on this page, you either a) are a huge fan of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or b) made a wrong turn whilst searching for quality porn sites. If it’s the former, welcome! If it’s the latter, we’ve got some excellent recommendations for you.
This is the official blog of It’s Always Sunny. It will be moderated by us — Patrick Walsh and Sonny Lee. “Who the hell are Patrick Walsh and Sonny Lee?!” you scream angrily. “We are writers on the show!” we scream back, veins bulging out of our foreheads. “Who the hell is your sorry ass?!?!”
Now that we’ve gotten that unpleasantness out of the way, we’ll tell you what you can expect around here. For starters, this will be a production blog offering a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on…behind the scenes. There’ll be videos, interviews with the cast and crew, and more. More! The cast is filming personal responses to your questions (email us at alwayssunnymailbag@gmail.com if you’ve got an inquiry for the gang), and the first one is posted above in the “Always Sunny Mailbag” category. We’re kicking off a “Sex n’ Business” advice column, moderated by “Dirty Frank” (you know him as Frank Reynolds). And to light a fire in your loins, we’ve published a lost chapter from the erotic memoirs of Dennis Reynolds. We’ll be releasing many more pages in the coming weeks.
Check back frequently, we’ll be updating all the time. Clear your schedule. Tell your friends and pastor. It’s going to be a pretty wild ride. We don’t want to alarm you, but it could get crunk in here.
[Season 4 premieres Sept. 18th, 10PM & 10:30 PM (9 & 9:30 Central) on FX .]

By Bee on September 2nd, 2008 at 1:13 pmYou Sick… Sick… bastards! I love this show more than any other show on television. I even had my boy bootleg a copy of the first two seasons, because my damn cable DVDR was acting crazy. I liked it so much, I bought the first two seasons. I think you should do a minstrel show episode. Mac and Charlie trying to diversify the bar. Just say you got the idea from one of the two black guys that watch the show.
By Jack Johnson on September 2nd, 2008 at 7:47 pmSite looks sweet. I was actually watching porn and banner clicked my way here by chance. I am a big fan of the show, and cant wait for the new season to come television here in sweden.. I mean literally i cant wait and will be downloading all the episodes.
By Mr F on September 3rd, 2008 at 8:22 pmDon’t know if you guys are aware, but UnSpun by Amazon actually has a list where people are voting for their favorite episodes of the show.
By Josh Lasser on September 4th, 2008 at 7:05 pmOMFG I can not even stand wating any longer for season 4 to start! You guys are brilliant and hillarious!
By Lauren Loves Pyramids on September 9th, 2008 at 12:22 pmSide note: It would be totally awesome if you guys would do a human PYRAMID with the whole gang and post it for me- not sayin…just sayin….
okay
By bigdaddyo420 on September 27th, 2008 at 2:54 ami have some questions for you two
see posts in the production blog and the
discussion taking place…..
see if you guys agree with us
the peeps are agreeing with me about
changes to season four….
and whats up with the censuring the posts and removing
the ones that question….are you not the most freedom loving bar in america. Im getting it hot and clammy, just the way the McPoyle’s like it…..
I love love love the show
i have been making people fans and turning them onto the show for 2 years. been watching since halfway through the first season. i buy you guys on itunes cause i couldnt wait for the dvd’s and then when they came out i got them too.
but to my dismay….
the show seems forced. the sets are different. the writing seems different and not in a good way. Danny Devito seems different too. is he okay?
I laugh a third of the time. I used to laugh(and still do with seasons 1thru3) all the way through. And the billboard episode seemed like a rip off of the gameshow style hostage takeover die hard spoof “the gang gets taken hostage” I am still watching. Keeping the faith. I truly love the show and i am just feeling something missing. my girl is watching it in tennessee and im in cali and we are both like wtf!?!?
liked wildcard stuff and the take you in the back and bang u shirts off poseoff liked the fireballs big time. the morgue scene was great and yogurt and popsicle thing. not tryin to hate. but many things seem different and wrong and forced and not as well written.
can you shed any light on this…..
if you look at the production blog posts you will see
what i mean
hoping the show and the writing and the continuity get better this season
peace to you all
bigdaddyo420
And why didnt larry keep the bar after the danceoff and the gang have to stick together and get it back before larry drives the bar into the ground…..could have used the team formula still.
By bigdaddyo420 on September 27th, 2008 at 3:05 amoh and the waterboarding seemed a bit much
and the whole bong making equipment being a bag of fertilizer and clippers? really? how dumb are we to not notice?
and the baby monitor as a bug is a great idea. i bet we see that used in a movie lol. but the babies cant be trusted and the banging baby dudes was another example of sub par for this show writing.
dont make me watch 3 seasons over and over lol
not trying to be mean but i do want some questions answered please……glen rob chalie sonny patrick david anyone?
again
peace to you and all your loved ones
bigdaddyo420
and the rehash of characters……bro whats up with that….
welfare gun fever dead guy jihad give back mac bangs dennis’ mom dumpster baby invincible hundred dollar baby charlie goes american all over everybodys ass.
frank sets dee on fire
i want my show back!
i will eat your babies bitch….
protect your show like seinfeld did his for 11 years and then followed the classic oldest rule of comedy. “always leave em laughing”
dont run it into the ground is all i ask. funniest show in years for television.
charlie doing the bela lugosi style walk up to kill frank with his bare hands in the bad place and then the moment killer. just superb. what happened.
word
peace

First time blogger – long time watcher. I read an article a couple years back about our buddy Rob being from South Philly (I’m @ 3rd & Washington). What about everyone else? If they aren’t natives, do they still find it sunny? Why don’t I ever see you guys drunk at my local bars? I’ve heard a few stories of you shooting in the ‘hood, but never of any urinating in our alleys. Saddens me a bit.
We all love to play ‘that’s the corner of Bainbridge & 3rd’ or whatever it is. Then the camera angle changes & it’s the opposite side of the city, or California! Fun game though. The exterior shot of Paddy’s is the one on Race, right? Looks different, but the same. Hhmmmm. See you there! Bring me a t-shirt & I’ll buy a round.
Keep it dirty,
Steph
PS – bigdaddyo420 scares me. Note: 3 AM posting.
By Steph on October 2nd, 2008 at 8:48 pmSo I just became a fan of the show. I drank a whole bunch for a whole long time and missed the first few seasons. Got into the show enough to get into the web site and finally bored enough (while waiting on more sunny) to get into these blogs. After reading everything that people had to say, I have come to one conclusion. F bigdaddyo420′s comments in the A. You guys rock your show is not falling off and it’s hard to top the outrageous situations of the first season even though you certainly try. Thanks for the entertainment sincerely and thanks for having spell check on your comment thingy.
Thanks again dudes!
By Somefanfromdenver on December 17th, 2008 at 10:28 pmwhaaaaaat. i scrolled through all those previous entries and searched “greenman” and did not find the greenman / dayman mashup (the reason i came to the blog in the first place). not cool y’all.
By Master of Karate on April 7th, 2010 at 7:49 pmPLEEEEEEEASE ONLY HAVE ONE OF YOU THREE WRITE THE EPISODE. EVERYTIME SOMEONE ELSE IS CREDITED AS THE WRITER, THE EPISODE SUCKS. THIS PATTERN IS LITERALLY WITHOUT FAIL.
